The Caregiver Pilot Programs -What They Entail:

Canada to resume caregiver work visa by January. Under the two five years pilot Programs, namely the Home Childcare Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot, eligible family members and caregivers can enter Canada with the intention of acquiring permanent residency.

Applicants must possess a job offer from a Canadian family to apply for either of these programs, without the necessity of an LMIA ( Labour Market Impact Assessment).

Upon receiving a job offer, qualified applicants can apply for a job-specific work permit, travel to Canada, and engage in temporary employment to accumulate work experience. After two years of such experience, these applicants can apply for permanent residency.

Qualification Criteria:

Eligibility for permanent residence through these pilot Programs hinges on either having received a caregiver position offer in Canada or having prior caregiver work experience there.
