How I got my visa to South Africa in less than 3 weeks.
In 2016 when I wanted to leave Nigeria for south Africa after I had made my decision to travel outside the country. I had many countries in my mind to travel to, like Malaysia, United Arab Emirates and so on.
After careful considerations I finally chose to travel to the Republic of South Africa, the orange nation of Nelson Mandela.
My first steps were to make friends with people living in South Africa and connecting with the South African citizens through social medias like Facebook. After months of conversations with them and building a certain level of relationship, I asked a few of them if they can visit my country for us to meet in person, visit some good places and build greater relationship.
After mentioning that to them, some of them requested that I visit them first then they will be freer to visit my country in return. I accepted to visit them first in South Africa and asked if they can officially send me an invitation for the visa application.
After a few days they sent my invitation letter, proof of accommodation to show that they will accommodate me throughout the duration of my stay in South Africa.
The following day I began to arrange my supporting documents, the data page of my international passport, my yellow fever certificate, my bank account statement for a period of six months, the DHA application form and my passport photograph.
The next step was to visit the VFS office to review my documents and ask for more information’s on other necessary requirements that should be included in my application documents.
Finally, I did my flight reservation for return ticket and it was time to pay for the visa application fee and submit my application.
After submitting my visa application, it took only 21 days for my visa to be granted. It was successful and I got my visa.
